COVID-19 VIC: Non-Profits – Wyndham City Council Reconnection and Recovery Grants
OverviewThis program seeks to support COVID-19 recovery projects that will deliver outcomes such as, wellbeing and reconnection; community members freely, respectfully expressing, celebrating and sharing their identities and perspectives with each other; and having an increased appreciation of the diverse perspectives, experiences, creative expressions and histories that make up the Wyndham community.
The objectives of the program are to contribute to one or more of the following outcomes:
- People freely and respectfully express, celebrate and share their identities and perspectives with each other.
- People have an increased appreciation of the diverse perspectives, experiences and histories that make up communities in Wyndham.
- People have increased networks and feel supported by family, friends and neighbour.
- Arts projects demonstrate a clear creative or art form specific outcome.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available. Applicants are required to provide a 1:2 matching contribution.
Applicants must contact the program administrator prior to submitting an application.
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit and groups/organisations.
Eligible ActivitiesEligible projects include:
- Community health and wellbeing responses like relief/food security; staff/volunteer training to deliver knowledge to the community; a podcast series for mental health wellness; family relationship workshops.
- Online/social distanced/outdoor cultural and creative workshops, events, festival and performances.
- Outdoor activities that educate, tell histories and/or contribute to a sustainable future.
- Initiatives that promote social inclusion and connections.
The main assessment criteria include:
- Extent to which the project activities are likely to contribute toward one or more expected outcome(s). (50%)
- Demonstrated applicant intent, capacity and readiness to deliver the project. (30%)
- An effective and appropriate approach to attracting participants and project partners. (20%)
Retrospective funding is not eligible.
